Uh Madam Speaker, the JRA projects are being halted due to contractual payment agreements not being met. Madam Speaker, 30% of contracts are currently being paid,

  and these have at times dwindled even down to as low as just over 20%. This is due to insufficient funds being received by the city. Metrobus is facing a similar uh crisis, where monies of uh that are owed to Metrobus by the Department of Finance are paid up to 6 weeks late, and at times only a portion of these uh required amounts are paid.

  These late payments are causing Metrobus to have to cut down on parts of their operations. The ACDP urges

Madam Speaker, I rise on item 25, the performance assessments report for the Public Safety Department for the 2025/2026 financial year

  for the period January to March 2026. Madam Speaker, the ACDP has raised its concerns pertaining to the zama zama crisis and is encouraged at the arrest of over 200 suspects at the Loskop Kloof mine, which is in the western area, as well as the 100

  120 arrests in the Mohlakeng area. The ACDP extends its heartfelt condolences to the families of the two soldiers who died during one of these operations at the Central Rand Gold Mine, west of Johannesburg. The ACDP urges the Department of Public Safety to expand on these operations and to give special at- attention to the Rand Show precinct where Zama Zamas are drilling and using explosives

  near the gas and fuel pipelines situated below and around the FNB Stadium. Madam Speaker, should just one of these gas pipelines be ruptured, a 300-meter radius can be incinerated due to one of these explosions, and the consequences to the full to a full 94,000-seater FNB Stadium

  are too horrific to even imagine. Please, Department of Public Safety, this is urgent. God bless South Africa. God bless the sovereign State of Israel. I thank you.
